Gamblz.com Submission Guidelines

Posted by Gamblz | June 5, 2008 .

To submit content to either Gamblz.com or Affiliate.Gamblz.com you need to follow the instructions on this page.

Anyone can create an account and you are free to submit anything you like, but there are a few rules and we don’t promise to publish everything. Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • The content you submit must be original and not previously published. If you have created something truly amazing that you think would be perfect for our site but it has been published in one or two places online, contact us first and we’ll let you know if we’re interested.
  • We’ll publish most things that relate to online gambling, affiliate marketing or social networking. This includes ‘how-to’ articles, reviews (games, books, technology etc.), interviews (with industry identities, big winners etc.), news and current events… across the two websites, our scope is quite broad.
  • Something we won’t usually publish - are details of a bonus. There will be regular posts on new bonuses, but they will be aggregated together and posted as a summary. That doesn’t stop you submitting new bonuses to our readers via Twitter, our FriendFeed room or any other social networking tools that we use. You also get the chance to recommend your favorite casino/poker room at the bottom of each article.
  • For short news items, new bonuses etc. you’re probably better off sending us whatever details you can provide via our contact form or as a direct message or @ reply via Twitter and we’ll write something up.

All content submitted will be responded to within seven days - either your article will be entered it into the editorial queue and an email sent to you informing of when it’s set to be published, or we will email you back and let you know that we can’t publish it. If your article is rejected, don’t be offended - we will try to give you reasons for it, but ultimately it may not fit with what we’re doing.

For ideas and inspiration on what makes a good blog post, how to inspire conversations further details of the type of stuff we’re looking for, stay up to date with our Affiliate Networking website and subscribe to the RSS feed.

The Benefits of Posting to Gamblz

When your article is published on Gamblz you get a short bio at the start of your article. This is your chance to tell everyone a little bit about yourself and link to any websites you own etc. The only restriction for the bio is that it shouldn’t be more than two sentences, and it shouldn’t contain any affiliate links (you can include them in the actual content and the ‘author recommends’ link at the bottom though - see below).

Links in your content should be made where appropriate. You can add your own affiliate tracking tags to any link, so long as they make sense with the overall content - you can’t just add an affiliate link for the sake of it.

We reserve the right to edit anything you submit - and that includes any links you put in there - however at no point will we modify any affiliate tracking tags, if the link is relevant it will be included with your affiliate tag, if it’s not, the whole link will be removed.

Finally, you also get to add an ‘Author recommends’ tag at the bottom of your article. You get the chance to let everyone know what your favorite casino or poker room is and can use your personal affiliate tag to link to their website (you can link without an affiliate tag if you wish).

Posting an article to Gamblz.com or Affiliate.Gamblz.com either with a link back to your blog, website or social network profile, along with any affiliate links in the main content is an excellent way for you to leverage off our traffic. If the article you write proves to be popular, the benefits you get from it could go on for a long time.
